Charlie Puth was in Singapore four years later, to promote his upcoming album Charliescheduled for release on October 7, 2022, via Atlantic Records.
Commenting on the collaboration and sharing his thoughts on returning to Asia, he said: “This is my third time in Singapore, and every time there is something new to learn and discover. But this visit is very special because I use the details of everyday life in this city to tell a story through music. Singapore Full of color and unique sounds at every turn. That’s what makes it so great, and it’s what inspires me when I make music.”
Puth had previously given concerts in Singapore in 2016 and 2018.
Sharing thoughts on the video, Choo Huei Miin, STB Brand Manager, said, “The sights and sounds of our city align beautifully with Charlie’s passion and creativity. We were thrilled that Charlie chose Singapore as the only destination in Asia to showcase his promotional album, allowing us The opportunity to work with Warner Music to showcase our diverse performances through his talent.”
Speaking about international travel gaining momentum, Min added: “As international travel recovers, these creative collaborations are helping us reach a global audience and positioning Singapore as a must-visit destination that offers limitless possibilities.”
Other STB Collaborations
The Singapore Tourism Board works very hard with celebrity collaborations. Prior to Puth, the board teamed up with K-pop icon Jackson Wang, in August, for a series of travel records to promote Singapore as part of the same campaign.
